Sujatha Srinivasan is an internationally renowned Bharathanatyam exponent, known for her classicism and creative choreography. She has learnt the art under eminent gurus and as a performer, she brings over 25 years of performing experience to the art.

She has won many awards and titles which include the first ever award for a talented dancer from the Music Academy, YuvakalaBharathi from Bharat Kalachar, Nadanamanani from Kartik Fine Arts, Best Dancer from Narada Gana Sabha, etc.

She has participated in many major prestigious dance festivals in India and has presented her recitals in Sri Lanka, Paris, Geneva, Canada, apart from several cities in the USA, winning praise from the Press and connoisseurs alike. She has to her credit many composer-oriented and thematic presentations. Triveni, Natya Sangamam, Swagatham Krishna, Ahimsa, Pibare Krishnarasam, Shadripu, Andal and Minstrels of God are some of her major productions. She did a moving portrayal in 2006 of Jhansi Rani in CCA’s Ekaantha Seetha.

Sujatha has been spearheading her efforts towards social causes through fundraising events to benefit educational institutions, orphanages and temples in America and India. As a professional teaching artist of Young Audiences, she has been promoting creative learning by uniting arts and education in Northeast Ohio schools. In her institution SHRI KALAA MANDIR –Center for Indian Performing Arts, Sujatha teaches Bharathanatyam and Mridangam. Students trained her have won accolades and awards for their performance and also have won prizes in international dance competitions.
