Cleveland-Bratislava Sister Cities Presents the Movie Bardejov

Based on a true story, the 2024 American film Bardejov tells the story of how Rafuel Lowy, a successful wine-maker and community leader, and a group of Bardejov citizens worked together to prevent the Young Hlinka Guards – Slovakian Nazi Collaborators- from transporting, under false pretenses, the city’s young Jewish women to Auschwitz.
